Little Huskies girls 10U soccer team tops Spring Grove 10-0

The MCUSC Little Huskies 10U girls soccer team got its offense out running early and scorched the nets, defeating Spring Grove 10-0 in Saturday morning action.

It was a game that if you blinked, you might have missed a goal.

Starting off the scoring was Navanna Shirk on the team’s third shot of the game.

She followed up minutes later with her second goal, keeping the momentum going.

After keeping the ball pinned down in the Rockets’ back-third, teammate Katelyn Kwiterovich notched her first goal of the young contest, upping the lead to three.

Addison Benfer caught fire midway through the first half, smacking through the next two goals in-a-row.

With pressure still on the Spring Grove defense, Kwiterovich picked up her second of the game, making it 6-0.

Rounding out the first half scoring was Madelyn Yoder who hit her goal with just seconds left in the half.

In the second half, the Little Huskies added two goals by Sarah Hartsock and one Addison Weaver en route to the 10-0 win.

MIfflin County tallied 28 shots while its defense allowed five in the shut out.
