MC 14s’ McKnight and Hoppel combine for no-hitter

What a great way to break into the win column.

Despite starting 0-3, the Mifflin County 14-year All-Stars put together both assets of their game offensive and defensive and came out the winners of a 9-1 victory over Haverford.

Two mifflin County hurlers, Calin McKnight and Grady Hoppel worked together to notch the no-hit victory.

McKnight had things working on the mound as he went 5 2/3 innings and posted 10 strikeouts while Hoppel finished things off nicely as he finished things up with four strikeouts en route to the victory.

Offensively, Mifflin County was led by McKnights four hits to help his own cause. He also posted an RBI on the day.

Teammates Logan Alexander and Clay Ammon followed with 2-hit efforts.

In the RBI department, Mifflin County was paced by Alexander with three.

Rounding things out for MC were Jeremiah Peachey with two and McKnight’s one.
