MC and SC play to a scoreless tie in Thursday FH action

State College goalie Molly Schreiner demonstrated in convincing fashion her goalkeeping talent with 18 saves on the night. The tri-captain goalie and her defense thwarted 18 Mifflin County’s shots on goal and shut down 13 penalty corners. This rivalry matchup had two teams battling it out on the wet, long grass field. Late in the fourth quarter, State College’s Joelle Bartlett found the back of the goal on a beautiful aerial shot over the Mifflin County goalie, but the official saw it differently, sending the Mifflin County vs State College game into OT. After 15 minutes of OT action, the score remained tie.
