MC boys fall to very talented Cougar team

HARRISBURG – It was another tough night on the hardwood for the MIfflin County boys’ basketball team as they fell to a very tough Mid-Penn foe, Harrisburg on the road Thursday night.

The Huskies fell 78-39.

Leading the way offensively for MIfflin County was Conner Cherry with 14 points. Teammate Jace Shoemaker finished with 10.

Harrisburg got started off to a blistering 27-3 first quarter score and continued from there.

In the second, the Cougars continued to roll, adding another 17 points in the second while holding MIfflin County to nine.

When the two teams went into the intermission, the Cougars had a comfortable 44-12 lead.

MIfflin County came out of the half on a mission of respect and did just that going toe-to-toe with Harrisburg scoring 10 each.

But in the final stanza, Harrisburg added a 24-17 advantage en route to the victory.
