MC boys lose tough road contest versus Mechanicsburg

MECHANICSBURG – Coming off an overtime win over Selinsgrove, the MIfflin County Huskies took to the road to Mechanicsburg to try for 2-for-2 in as many nights.

Though the team battled and kept it close, the Wildcats were too much for the Huskies, as Mechanicsburg went onto the 67-54 victory.

Leading the way for MIfflin County was Owen Wise with 15 points.

Teammate Tagg Selfies rounded out the double-digit scorers with 10.

Aidan Reed just missed hitting the double digit plateau with nine.

Mechanicsburg broke out early with a 24-9 first quarter.

In the second, the Huskies scored 11 as the Wildcats muscled out 17.

The Wildcats led the Huskies 41-20 going into the intermission.

Mifflin County regrouped in the third and managed to outscore Mechanicsburg 20-17.

In the final stanza, the Huskies fell short despite battling throughout.
