Mc boys soccer loses road contest to Waynesboro
The MIfflin County boys soccer team traveled to Waynesboro Wednesday going up against the Indians.
It was a defensive battle throughout as Waynesboro would grind out a 2-0 victory.
“Our fellas met a challenge head-on and played very hard soccer in tonight’s match. We created some chances but still were lacking some precise passing to complete and get on the board,” said Mifflin County coach Todd R. Peters. “We gave up a goal when we couldn’t clear from a corner and the other on a forgotten backside mark. Both came after playing 64 minutes of hard soccer. Brody Wolfkill stepped up in a big way for us tonight in the cage, and we are so proud of his efforts. We had to re-work the lineup and players brought it where they played. We will get back to work at practice in searching for that precise delivery while always still working. “
Waynesboro led in shots on goal by a 12-4 margin while the two teams tied 3-3 in corner opportunities.
Mifflin County goalie Brody Wolfkill finished with nine saves.
