MC Boys XC loses to fully loaded Chambersburg team

The Mifflin County Boys’ cross country team travelled to face a strong Chambersburg squad Tuesday afternoon. Chambersburg took the top three places with Ari Snyder taking individual honors and winning 18-41.

The Huskies were lead by Senior Conrad Coffey 4th (18:37) and Styers Oden 6th (18:52).  Cody Fultz placed 8th (18:15) Caden Bell 11th (19:40) with Freshmen Reese Cubbison 14th (20:04) and Hart Oden 15th (20:11).  Luke Breneman 20:32, Maxwell Laudermilch (21:04), Cameron Barben (21:05) and Nathan Goss added depth to the Huskies line up.

“Chambersburg has a nice team.  I was concerned we might have a letdown coming off our trip to Texas but our boys got right into the mix from the start. This was our fourth race in eleven days but they raced with a strong effort,” said MIfflin County coach Gregory Loht. “CJ was pressing their front pack and Styers had a good race going under 19 minutes for the first time, and on a tough course. Our Freshmen Reese and Hart continue to improve. Nathan is getting stronger and set a pr. We have off until the 20th. It’s a chance to get our legs back under us and  regain our strength.”

Huskies fall to 1-1.
