MC girls’ soccer team tops Hershey in thriller
The MIfflin County girls soccer team took the field Monday and handed Hershey a 3-2 victory in Mid-Penn action.
MIfflin County’s Aubrey Strohecker notched the hat trick in her team’s victory.
Strohecker started the game scoring as she got an assist by Brynn Knepp at 6:11 for the goal.
Hershey’s Annalee Hassler tied things at one on an unassisted goal at 25:59.
Less than a minute later Strohecker put her team back in the lead off another Knepp assist at 26:07.
Hershey battled back off a Zoe Carlson goal from a pass from Shayla Hassler at 64:07.
With the game in its final moments, Strohecker gives her team the dramatic win as Ella Kammerer connected a pass to her and she posted the last goal at 79:57.
Hershey led in shots on goal by a 9-6 margin.They also led in corners 3-1.
MIfflin County’s Bailey McNitt finished with seven while Hershey’s goalie Cassie Paioletti had 3.
MIfflin County is now 4-6 in the league and 4-8 overall.
The Lady Huskies next game is 10/28 home vs State College (District Semi-final).
