MC girls XC team brings home win over CD East

The MIfflin County high school girls team swept CD East 15-50. Adeline Leason, Addie Parson, Amilia Coffey, Justice Sheaffer and Ava Harris took the 1-5 scoring positions.

“It was another hot race in humid conditions but the girls put forth the effort needed to bring home a win,” said MIfflin County coach Neil Breneman. “The effort they put in will continue to develop each of them and make them stronger as their season progresses.”

Ten of the girls have Texas on their minds right now as they travel tomorrow (9/7) to take place in the Galveston Island Beach run on September 9.

This is a once in a lifetime experience. The run will be different than they are used to,” said Breneman. “It will be flat, but they will be running on packed sand amidst a giant pack of other runners. The hot weather we have been experiencing will have them prepared to run in the Texas beach heat. “
