MC golf competes at D6 sectionals

Mifflin County golf competed in the District 6 sectional tournament today at Sinking Valley Country Club in Altoona. This tournament is used to try to qualify as a team and individually for the District 6 Championships next week at Scotch Valley Country Club in Altoona. In order to qualify as an individual, you must finish in the top 10 overall scores. In order to qualify as a team, you must finish in the top 2 teams. Unfortunately for Mifflin County, we did not have any individuals qualify, and the team did not qualify. Owen Wise was the top finisher for MC with a score of 82 which was good for a tie for 12th place. Cole Chilson and Bradyn Eversole both shot 86 which was good for a tie for 21st place. Bryson Bubb shot 89, which placed tied for 26th, Blake Stringfellow shot 90, which was good for 29th place. Brody Schnell and Alex Kline both fired a 93, which was a tie for 32nd place. Tanner Ferguson shot a 101 which was a 40th place finish. MC finished 5th overall in the team standings behind State College, Altoona, Central Mountain, and Bellefonte. MC did finish ahead of Hollidaysburg in the team standings. MC has one final match of the season which is Monday 9/27 in the Mid Penn Conference Championships at Royal Manchester golf course.
