MC golfers battle against Bellefonte

MC golf competed today at Nittany Country Club, the home of Bellefonte. This match is a different style of play than our normal matches. This is played as a match play event, and nine points are up for grabs. Six points on the front nine with MC’s top six golfers playing head-to-head against Bellefonte’s top 6 golfers. Then on the back nine, the number 1&2 players from each team play a 2-man scramble, as do the 3&4, as well as the 5&6 players to earn another three points. Bellefonte won the match 7-2. Picking up points on the day for MC was Jude Zook who won his individual match 5&3, and then Zook and Evan Breon teamed up to win a point in the scramble format, winning 1up. With the loss today MC closes out the regular season with a record of 1-39. Up next is the post season with Mid Penn Qualifiers on Monday 9/22, and District 6 AAA Sectionals on Tuesday 9/23.
