MC Jh girls shut out Shippensburg 10-0

It was a high flying afternoon for the Mifflin County Jr High ​Varsity team as it blanked Shippensburg 10-0 on the road.
Aubrey Strohecker finished the day with a hat trick in a four goal game. Teammate Maddie Finkenbiner had two goals and an assist in the shut out.
Mifflin ​C​​oun​ty finished with 19 shots on goal.
In the save department, Bailey McNitt secures two.
The list of goals are a long one.
​​Strohecker​ got the scoring started as he was assisted by Finkenbiner​.
​Finkenbiner then got in the act next as she was assisted by Ella Kammerer​.
​ Finkenbiner with an assist by Kylee Cubbison​ put her up to goal number two.
Strohecker ​followed with two consecutive unassisted ​goals.
​Ella Kammerer then got into the act as she tickled the twine as she was assisted by Kylie Strawser​.
​Then Sarah Henry​ was assisted by Strohecker​ on her first goal of the night.
​Strohecker ​got her name back in the scoring column on another ​unassisted goal, making it a comfortable 8-0.
​Kylie Strawser got her first goal thanks to an assist by Morgan Breon.
Rounding out the scorers was​ Lily Yoder as she was assisted by Kate Knable​ for the final goal.
​Shippensburg only managed two shots and had 11 saves.
​In the Jr High ​JV game, the two teams finished with the same score they started with as Mifflin County and Shippensburg finished in a scoreless battle.
Mifflin ​C​​oun​ty had three shots.
Sadie Fike and Maddie Finkenbiner combined for three saves.
