Mc tennis falls to Lower Dauphin

Despite their best efforts, the Mifflin County Huskies fell to the Lower Dauphins Falcons 5-0 in Mid-Penn boys tennis action.
Gavin Ream had an extremely competitive contest with Lower Dauphin’s AJ Krasley where one shot could have made or break a match. Ream pushed Krasley to his very limits but was edged out in both sets with Krasley winning the first set by the score of 6-4. Then in the second set which was even more intense with again Krasley defeating Ream 7-5.
In the second singles match up, Mifflin County’s Trent Shade lost to Derwin Merca who represented the Falcons in both sets 6-1 and later 6-0.
Noah Holland of Mifflin County took on Lower Dauphin’s Brady Coonelly in the third singles match where Coonelly came out victorious in both sets with each score being 6-0.
Another intense match happening during the day was in the first doubles match between Luke Grove and his partner Quinn Miller representing the Huskies took on the duo of Sean Murphy and Joseph Godato where the first set went to Murphy and Godato 6-2.
But then in the second set, Grove and Miller got into a groove and stayed neck and neck with Murphy and Godato eventually ending the second set in a tie. However during the tiebreaker, the experienced team of Murphy and Godato finished the job pulling off the tiebreaker victory by the score of 7-2.
The second doubles, Huskies’ duo of Jaron Yoder and Gunnar Wagner competed against Zach McIntive and Brayden Harris of the Falcons. Yoder and Wagner stood strong in the first set before dropping the set 6-3 and then McIntive and Harris completed the five match sweep for Lower Dauphin in the next set with a 6-0 victory.
