MC track and Field team has strong showing at PIAAs

SHIPPENSBURG – The Mifflin County track and field team had a strong showing at this year’s PIAA State Championships.

Leading the way was the two historical state championship nods for phenom Carter Smith in the 1500-meter and 800-meter runs.

His teammates also had some impressive finishes on the weekend.

In the 800-meter, Wyatt Kauffman

finished a strong 12th place posting a time of 1:57.15.

Teammate Michael McNitt finished 27th in the 300 Meter Hurdles posting a time of 42.84.

The teams 4×800 relay team featuring Reese Cubbison, Connor Lynch, Aidan Scavitti and Styers Oden placed 30th with a time of 30th. Their time was 8:34.32.
