McDaniel tops Juniata College in Saturday action

HUNTINGDON – A fourth quarter surge carried McDaniel over the Juniata College Eagles 35-19 in some college football action Saturday afternoon.

The score was 22-19 after three quarters of play when McDaniel put the clamps down on the Eagles out scoring them 13-0 for the period.

Juniata compiled a total of 354 yards of offense for the game with former Mifflin County Quarterback Noah Wright who was 13-for-25 for 184 yards with three touchdown passes and one interception. Wright also had eight carries for 13 yards.

Wright had three touchdown passes to three different receivers. The first was Austin Nash who collected four catches for 114 yards. The other was fellow Mifflin County Allimini Julian Jackson who had four catches for 48 yards. The third and finally one was Dylan Sweger who had five catches for 38 yards.

Former member of the Midd-West Mustangs, Hunter Wolfley went over 100 yards for the game getting 131 yards on 23 carries.

Juniata is now (0-2) and will look to get their first win of the season next week as they will travel to do battle with John Hopkins.
