MCXC Boys earn perfect score against CD 15-53

It was pure perfection for the MIfflin County boys cross country team.
Carter Smith took first place with a winning time of 18:05.
“Hats off to Alex Scheib (CD) and Henry Klugh (CD East) for hosting a great meet. Their teams have grown and we are lucky to have them as good competitors and friends in the Mid Penn,” said Mifflin County coach Alex Monroe. “We were fortunate enough to achieve our first perfect score which is pretty cool. It was hard fought and we are continuing to build on momentum from Altoona.”
Teammates Wyatt Kauffman and Reese Cubbison finished third and fourth with times of 18:19 and 18:29, respectively.
Rounding out the top five was Koy Aurand posting an 18:35.
Placing sixth for the Huskies was Hart Oden at 18:36.
Things continued to roll for the Huskies squad as Aidan Scavitti finished eighth with a final time of 18:37.
Finishing in 10th place was Styers Oden. Oden finished his day with an 18:44.
At 11th place for MIfflin County was Hoyt Rodenbaugh as he grinded out a time of 18:46.
Michael McKnitt continued the strong MIfflin County contingent posting a 15th place time of 19:57.
The Huskies also took 20th place. Logan Breneman topped his day with a 20:16.
Finishing at 22nd and 23rd place were teammates Camryn Treaster (20:39) and David Snyder (20:43).
Coming in 30th place was Alex Horn, posting a mark of 22:50.
Rounding out the top spots for Mifflin County was Anthony Palopoli who finished 31st at 23:37.
“If I could recognize everyone I would because this team is on fire right now. Some highlights include Reese Cubbison who jumped back into racing this week and didn’t miss a beat. Koy Aurand who is finding confidence and consistency in his effort with every race,” said Monroe. “Hart Oden who is my scrappy racer and always fighting for every place. Finally, David Snyder from our JV squad who ran to a nice PR today.”
The boys return to action Saturday at the Wild Safari Invitational in New Jersey.
