Mechanicsburg tops MIfflin County in girls hoops action

LEWISTOWN- It was a tough night for the Mifflin County girls basketball team as they fell at home against Mechanicsburg 69-33.

The Huskies were led in scoring by Payton Weaver and Mackenzie Peachey with eight. Rounding out the top scorers for the Lady Huskies was Jalee Bodtorf who posted seven.

Mechanicsburg was led by Alaina Sweet who posted a game-high 15. Teammate Lauren Leno added 12 in the win.

Offensively, the Wildcats came out aggressive outscoring Mifflin County 23-10. They continued their hot shooting in the second adding another 19 points while the Huskies tallied eight en route to the victory.
