Mifflin County 10u All-Stars Stymied By State College

Mifflin County 10u All-Stars couldn’t keep up with State College Wednesday and fell 8-1.

State College were the first to get on the board in the first when a steal of home scored two runs.

A walk by Emilia S extended the State College lead to 3-1 in the top of the second inning.

State College scored one run in the top of the third on an inside the park home run by Violet D.

Rylee Pully stepped in the circle first for Mifflin County. They allowed four hits and seven runs over five and one-third innings, striking out eight and walking seven. Caroline F stepped in the circle first for State College. They gave up two hits and one run over six innings, striking out nine and walking seven.

Pully and Remmi Stringer each collected one hit for Mifflin County. Lucy Breon led Mifflin County with one run batted in.

Audrey Wagner led MC with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, accumulating seven walks for the game.

Ruby G, Violet, and Caroline each drove in one run for the Little Lions. Violet led State College with two hits in three at bats. Drew T and Violet each stole multiple bases for State. State College had patience at the plate, collecting seven walks for the game. State College were sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Violet had the most chances in the field with 12.
