Mifflin County 13-year-olds open Mid-Atlantic play with win over New Jersey

The Mifflin County 13s used a mighty offensive output in its opening game of the Babe Ruth 13-year old Mid-Atlantic Regionals Friday to top Southern New Jersey 14-10.

Leading the way for Mifflin County were three hitters. They were Evan Strohecker, Reese Christine and Logan Ruth as all three tallied three hits each.

Christine led in the RBI department by posting three while Ruth had two and Chase Leister had two.

Ruth and Christine both walked twice in the contest as well.

Strohecker notched the win while teammate Madden Weaver also had some time on the pitchers mound.

Weaver was tough on the mound, striking out five while Strohecker finished with one.

Mifflin County Will go for win number two Saturday.
