Mifflin County baseball falls to Cedar Cliff

It was a tough night defensively for the Mifflin County baseball team as they lost to Cedar Cliff Monday night, 14-6.

Picking up the win for Cedar Cliff was Trey Law while Colby Bodtorf took the loss.

Tyreen Smalley was the lone Husky in multiple hits, going 2-for-3 with an RBI.

Cedar Cliff tallied 18 hits on the night.

The visitors opened up the game with a 5-0 lead after two innings.

Mifflin County retaliated in the third, cutting into the Cedar Cliff lead by plating two runs.

Brando Souders started things out with a single.

He was joined on base by teammate Max Oburn.

Both scored on a Brian Yetter hit, cutting it to 5-2.

Cedar Cliff came back a took the two runs back, plating two of its own. They continued to pile on the runs scoring one in the fifth, four in the sixth and two in the top of the seventh.

Mifflin County scored in the bottom of the fourth. Wyatt Henry, who walked to start off the inning, scored on a single by Smalley.

Going into their last at bats, the Huskies refused to give up, scoring three runs in their last at bats but couldn’t muster any more before falling 14-6.
