Mifflin County falls to Cedar Cliff in Monday action

The Mifflin County Huskies baseball team watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 4-0 loss to Cedar Cliff on Monday.  The Colts scored on a single by Parker Tarnoci in the first inning and a double by Ayden  Frye in the second inning.

Cedar Cliff got things moving in the first inning, when Tarnoci singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.

One bright spot for Mifflin County was a single by Tye Plank in the first inning.

Jordan Negley led things off on the pitcher’s mound for Cedar Cliff. The hurler went six innings, allowing zero runs on four hits and striking out five.

Doug Weaver Jr. was on the hill for the Huskies. The pitcher lasted three innings, allowing four hits and two runs while striking out one and walking one.  Landen Eichhorn and Tucker Gill entered the game from the bullpen, throwing two innings and two innings respectively.

Madden Weaver led Mifflin County with two hits in three at bats.

Cedar Cliff racked up nine hits.  Sam Grube, Devin Niemiec, and Tarnoci each racked up multiple hits for the  Colts.
