Mifflin County Field Hockey falls in OT thriller

The Mifflin County Field Hockey team traveled to Bishop McDevitt for a Mid Penn conference game. The Huskies outshot and outplayed the Crusaders, but were unsuccessful at coming home with the win.
In the first minute of the game, Bailey Neff received a ball from Jayda Kanagy to take the advantage early on. The Crusaders broke through the Huskies press to tie the game with six minutes left in the first quarter. The second and third quarters were primarily played in the Crusaders defense as the Huskies had several penalty corners and opportunities to score. During the last three minutes of the fourth quarter, the Huskies had a penalty corner where Alleigh Caruso put a ball in the back of the cage to take the lead for the Huskies. Unfortunately the goal was called back by the opposite official, which meant the Huskies lost the advantage. The Huskies were unlucky on scoring in the last couple minutes which took the game into overtime.
During overtime, the Huskies had seven players which included Adalyn Amspacker, Bailey Neff, Jayda Kanagy, Alleigh Caruso, Addie Fultz, Allison Renninger, and Paige Snyder. A few minutes into the overtime, the Crusaders took a ball down the field and got a shot in the goal to win the game.
The Huskies had 13 offensive penalty corners and 15 shots on goal. The Crusaders had four offensive penalty corners and four shots on goals. Paige Snyder had three saves.
