Mifflin County girls hold onto road win at Hershey

It was a successful trip for the Mifflin County girls soccer team as they topped Hershey Saturday, 3-2.

Mifflin County’s offense stress the wealth as three different Huskies scored in the contest.

The Huskies goalie Bailey McNitt was clutch in the win stopping nine.

Hershey scored first in the contest when Mia Bertoldi scored off an Isabelle Sontheimer pass.

In the JV contest, Mifflin County fell 1-0.

At the 30-minute mark, Mifflin County tied it up when Sarah Henry blasted a shot to tie the game at one

Later in the second, Maddie Finkenbiner gave the Huskies the lead for the first time with a shot, making it a 2-1 lead.

Minutes later, Hershey battled back on an unassisted goal by Hanna Russell at 62:28.

Picking up the winning goal on the night was Aubrey Strohecker at the 68- minute.

Hershey held a slight lead in shots on goal by a 11-10 mark while Mifflin County held the advantage 6-5 for corners.

In the JV contest, Mifflin County fell 1-0.

MC (4-2)League / (4-3) overall next game @ Altoona 10/5.
