Mifflin County girls improve to .500 with win over Waynesboro

Another clutch win for the Lady Huskies.
Mifflin County’s Mackenzie Peachey scored the game’s only goal of the contest ad the Huskies’ defense held Waynesboro scoreless in the 1-0 Mid Penn girls soccer action.
Peachey blasted the lone goal at the 16-minute mark and then held on from there to secure the victory.
Waynesboro led in shots by a 7-5 margin and in corners by a 2-0 edge.
Mifflin County goalie Liberty Cook finished with seven saves while Waynesboro’s keeper Abby Byers had four.
With the win, the Lady Huskies improve to 3-3 on the season.
