Mifflin County girls pick up first win in big way over CD East

First of more to come.

MIfflin County picked up its first win Tuesday night as it defeated CD East 6-0

Aubrey Strohecker paced the way for the Lady Huskies as she finished with a hat trick.

Teammate Lily Yoder chopped in with two of her own while Brynn Knepp posted a lone goal.

Offensively, MIfflin County outshot CD East 24-1.

Knepp got the Huskies started with a goal at 15:41. She was assisted by Morgan Breon.

Later in the half, Yoder hit her first of two goal on unassisted run at the net at 30:14.

Yoder rounded out the first half scoring with another unassisted goal at 48:56.

The second half belonged to the Lady Huskies as Strohecker launched unassisted goals at the 55:23, 73:06 and 75:46 marks en route to the 6-0 shut out.

In Corner Kicks, CD East led 7-3.

MIfflin County keeper Bailey McNitt finished with one save while East’s Kayla Proch notched 18.

MIfflin County evens its league record to 1-1 while it puts them at 1-2-0 overall.

MC next game is October 1st at Mechanicsburg.

In boys action, CD East scored one lone goal while keeping MIfflin County off the board in the 1-0 victory.
