Saturday, the MIfflin County girls cross country Team took 12th place overall out of 22 teams in the Big Valley Invitational

“It is. really great start to the season,” said MIfflin County coach Neil Breneman. “I was really happy with how close they placed together. This helped them place as a team higher than they have in the past.”

Amelia Coffey led the team with Ava Kratzer and Ava Wagner not far behind.

Ava Wagner was the big surprise for the day coming out and starting with a career PR in her 4th year of running.
“She has a new confidence that I am excited to see where that will take her in her senior year. Lexi had a great starting time for her senior season as well,” said Breneman. “ I was really pleased with how freshman, Madison Baumgardner, ran in her first HS 5K race. “She is a hard worker and will go far this season as she adjusts to her best race strategy,” said Breneman.
