Mifflin County golfers finish second at Carlisle
The Mifflin County golf team competed today at the Carlise War Barricks course, the home of Carlisle. The Huskies finished 2nd on the day, losing to Mechanicsburg by 5 shots, but beating Carlisle, RedLand, Bishop McDevitt, Palmyra, and Cedar Cliff.
MC was lead on the day by Colby Seiler, who fired a 78, which was good for a tie for 3rd place overall. Jackson Flood shot a season best score of 79, which was good for a tie for 5th place overall. Evan Breon chipped in with an 83, which was good for a tie for 10th place overall. Jacob Bauman rounded out the scoring with a score of 86, which was good for a tie for 14th place overall, and a season best total. Reese Hine fired a career best round of 85, Jace Rishel shot a career best round of 87, and Bryson Hughes fired an 88. The Huskies had a team total of 326, which is the lowest score MC has shot since 2011. By going 5-1 on the day, MIfflin County now stands at 23-9 overall, and 21-9 in the Mid Penn Keystone Division. The Huskies are back in action on Monday at Iron Valley Golf Course, the home of Palmyra.
The MC girls golf team was also in action today at Mayapple golf club in Carlisle. Lily Breon shot a season best 115, which was good for 35th place overall, and Emma Norman shot a 127, which was good for 41st place overall. The Huskies girls are back in action on Monday at Range End Golf Course, the home of Northern York.
