Mifflin County Lady Huskies capture D6 title

HOLLIDAYSBURG – Call them the champs!

The MIfflin County girls soccer team picked up the District 6 AAAA title with its 2-1 victory over Altoona.

Aubrey Strohecker blasted two goals in the victory.
She hit her first goal early at 37:08, giving the Lady Huskies their first goal of the contest.

Her second goal came via a penalty kick at the 16-minute mark.

It revenges a 3-1 loss to the Mountain Lions back on October 19th.

Second time was a charm.

Mifflin County built up a 2-0 lead before Altoona would slide one through with 5:47 left.

But the Lady Huskies were able to hold off the Mountain Lions to hold onto the victory.
