MIfflin County Lady Huskies notch win over Lower Dauphin

Making that post season push.

The MIfflin County girls basketball team continues its winning ways as it hopes to make a postseason push for the District 6 playoffs.

Tuesday night the Lady Huskies added to the win column, taking down Lower Dauphin 58-44.

Leading the way for the Huskies was Kate Knable with a 14-point effort.

Teammate Brianna Bodtorf tallied 12 while Marissa Gingrich rounded out the double digit scorers with 11.

Lower Dauphin finished with a game-high 18-point effort by Eva Day.

MIfflin County took the first period as the Lady Huskies grinded out a 14-10 scoring advantage.

Lower Dauphin battled back in the second, holding the scoring advantage in the second by a 15-10 margin.

When the two went into the intermission, LD took a slim 25-24 lead.

But the Huskies came out of the half bound to take over the tempo.

It’s defense held Lower Dauphin to single digits as it took the lead back on the scoreboard, 38-33.

In the final stanza, MIfflin County shot lights out, outscoring its opponent 22-11 en route to the victory.
