MIfflin County Matmen go 1-1 at Husky Duals

Opening the Husky Duals, the Mifflin County wrestling team picked up a hard fought victory over Lower Dauphin 44.0-18.0 in the opening round.

At 152, MIfflin County’s Kyler Everly got things started out quickly as he picked up a win over Marshal Stahl via pinball at 0:44.

The Huskies took the 160-pound match as Anson Wagner pinned Blake  O`Brien at 0:57.

At 172, both took a Double Forfeit.

189-pounder Trey Shoemaker continued the Huskies winning ways as he pinned State’s Domenic DeFrank at 0:53.

Things were clicking for MIfflin County as 215-pounder Jaxson Pupo also notched a pin over Tanner Webb at 0:35.

At 285, the Falcons’ Aaron Moyer won via forfeit as did 106-pounder Jacob Gesford.

At 113, Nic Allison, who went 2-0?on the day pinned Jorge Burgos at 1:16.

There was another Double Forfeit at 120.

At 126, Lower Dauphin’s Clayton Koser pinned Adin Thorpe at 1:24.

132-pounder Deakon Schaeffer took a 10-2 victory over Griffin Barilla.

Lucas Sheetz kept the winning going as he Pinned Joey Swartz at 2:38.

Rounding out the match at 145, MIfflin County’s Jacob Cunningham outlasted over Alec Merry 15-4.
