Mifflin County takes Hershey to the limit but falls late

They fought to the end!

Playing in front of the large home crowd, the Mifflin County football team battled tough but fall to Hershey 26-20.

The Huskies did strike first though when Jaxson Pupo took one in from 1-yd out for the TD. The kick was  is good at 7:39.

Hershey took advantage of a Husky miscue for their first score.

Jack Paterno scored on a 20-yard fumble return. With successful kick Hershey took the lead at 2:17.

The Huskies took back the lead in the second on a Reagan Ettinger 1-yd run. The try for a 2-point conversion failed, MC did have the lead though at 12-7 at 3:49 left in the half.

But Hershey had one last drive in them before the halftime period arrived. Daniel Painter hooked up with a 75-yd pass to Alec Angello, giving Hershey the 14-12 advantage at the intermission.

In the third, Hershey’s Angel Cabrera scored on a 4-yd run .

Mifflin County’s special teams blocked the PAT.

With 4:21 left in the third, Hershey’s lead extended to a 20-12 advantage.

Back rallied Mifflin County as Isaac Wilson scored on a 35-yd punt return. With the 2-point conversion, the Huskies cut the lead to a 20-20 contest.

Cabrera scored the last touchdown of the game, icing it for Hershey on a 2-yd run, making it a 26-20 contest.
