MIfflin County wrestlers highlight MC Quad meet with win over Juniata

HIGHLAND PARK – Clean sweep.

The MIfflin County wrestling team wrestled hard and collected the rewards Saturday as it went a perfect 3-0 in competition in the MIfflin County Quad Duals Saturday.

MIfflin County topped Hamburg, Manheim Central and Juniata on the day.

In the main event of the day, the Huskies battled Juniata, in the battle of the locals.

In the end, the Huskies would dominate the match 63-12.

Starting at 113, the Huskies Nic Allison won by a 7-2 decision over Taylor Smith.

At 120, the Huskies notched the win when Hunter Johnson (MCH) pinned Jacob Gilson at the 0:53 mark.

Blake Aumiller continued the Huskies’ winning ways at 126 as he picked up the win by forfeit.

Rolling right along at 132 was MIfflin County’s Deakon Schaeffer as he topped Tye Jabs via pin fall atl 1:37.

Things continued strong at 138 for MIfflin County when Parker Kearns raised his hand, winning via forfeit.

At 145, the Huskies continued their winning ways as Jacob Cunningham picked up the easy forfeit.

152-pounder Kyler Everly topped Juniata’s Josh Bomberger with a pin at 2:28.

The winning streak continued at 160, MIfflin County’s Anson Wagner pinned Noe Montesinos at 1:43.

At 172: Trey Kibe gave the Huskies another six points as he picked up a forfeit win.

Still not losing any contests, MIfflin County continued its winning ways at 189. Teeg Tate pinned Joshua Pacheco at 3:38.

215-pounder Jaxson Pupo rounded out the Huskies winning streak with a forfeit win.

Juniata got on the scoreboard at 285 when Jonathan Kauffman pinned over Aaron Henry at the 2:30 mark.

Juniata’s 106-pounder Casey Smith rounded out the match with a forfeit win.
