In a match that wasn’t for the faint of heart, the MIfflin County wrestlers gutted out a 33-all tie against Cumberland Valley decided by criteria points.
At 113, Cumberland Valley picked up the win against Lance Wickerham via a forfeit.
The Eagles also took the 120-pound weight class as Ben Monn won a 9-4 decision over Derek Burk.
Cumberland Valley continued its early winning as the 126-pounder Ruston Dzielak pinned Lucas Sheetz at 4:00.
132-pounder Gabriel Belga picked up a major decision over MIfflin County’s Marshall Maidens by a 14-2 major decision.
MIfflin County took the win at 138, when Kyler Everly muscled out a 2-0 decision over Kyle Miller.
Back battled the Huskies once again, this time taking 145 when Ethan Kauffman won a 6-2 decision over Ben Belga.
152-pounder MIfflin County’s Anson Wagner pinned Liam Anderson at 4:28 .
160-pounder Eagle Timothy Kissinger took a tie breaker over Trey Shoemaker 6-5.
Reigning state champion at 170, Trey Kibe continued the fight for MIfflin County pinning Keegan McCoy 0:20.
182-pound Husky Brycen Hassinger pinned Dontey Rogan At 1:17.
The Eagles at 195, Jacob Lucas won by a technical fall 24-8 at 5:51 over Jacob Krepps.
Back battled Cumberland Valley at 220, when Abubakar Saka pinned over Hadyn Crum at 5:40.
285-pounder Blaine Davis gave the Huskies a strong 8-1 decision over Connor Mundis.
Rounding things out at 106, MIfflin County’s Nicholas Allison put the match at a stalemate over Noah Groelly pinning him at 0:26.
