Mount Union soccer tops Forbes Road in tough battle

A good start!

The Mount Union soccer team got its season underway defeating a scrappy Forbes Road team, 5-3 Tuesday.
In the first half,  Mount Union’s Ryan Dountas scored two first half goals. The goals by Flagle was assisted on one and scoring one himself.

Forbes Road also scored twice the first half, going into the intermission, tied at two.

In the second half,  Ryan Dountas scored three goals with an assist coming from Evan Shaver. Forbes Road scored only once the second half, giving the Trojans the 5-3 victory. Mount Union Goalie Caleb Miller had 11 saves and Landon Johnson had one save as a defender for the Trojans.

Forbes Road goalie Braydin Garlock had seven saves and Brady Skinner and Collen Drenning had a save each as a defender. The three players that scored for Forbes were Ryder Cole, Cristobal Palma Prado and Porter McMath.
