Tuesday the MIfflin County boys cross country team competed at Circleville Park against State College today.

“We raced our JV team, and two of our varsity runners helped pace them today. It was a bit of a mixed bag, but we had some really nice performances. Circleville is a technical course and temperatures were in the upper 70’s, so I encouraged them to learn from today as we prepare for Foundation,” said Mifflin County coach Alex Monroe. “Hart Oden and Zaiden Dashem had really consistent results which was great. I also had good rebounds from Craig Whitenight, Anthony Palopoli, and Colton Leister. We return to competition Saturday at the PIAA Foundation Invitational in Hershey.”

Oden finished seventh with a time of 17:21.8.

He was followed by ninth place finisher Koy Aurand who crossed the finish line at 17:36.5.

Teammate Zaiden Dashem placed 14th with a final tally of 18:42.8.

Craig Whitenight crossed with a time of 19:21 good enough for 18th.

Rounding out the top 20 Husky finishers was Logan Breneman who placed 19th with a mark of 19:22.4.
