Penns Valley’s record is now 12-4 and 10-4 in the Mt. League.  Their regular season is now complete and they are awaiting the release of the schedule for district playoffs.

“After a tough away game last night, our girls put in a strong performance against a tough Huntingdon squad.  It took us a while to settle into the game but a formation change helped us to gain some composure and start to create some chances,” said Penns Valley coach Andrew Beverly. “Rayanne Witmer put in a brilliant cross and pressure at the back post from Abby Stitzer was able to force an error from a Huntingdon defender for an own goal.  We continued to grow into the game but unfortunately we wasted some good chances to extend the lead.  Huntingdon pulled one back but the girls responded well and Katie Martell popped up with the game winner after some good work down our left hand side.  The girls then saw out the final few minutes to hold on to the result.  It was a good way to end our regular season and prepare for what should be a tough postseason.  We’re hoping that the super competitive league season will help us once playoffs start.”
