Penns Valley girls XC wins Single A championship

Today the Penns Valley girls cross country team won the Single A division of the District XC Meet earning a trip to the State Meet next weekend in Hershey. The last time the Lady Rams won a District title was in 1987. Three of the Lady Rams made the podium – Kelsey Hull, 2nd, Anna Stitzer 4th, and Alexis Durn 8th.

“Winning the Mt League title and now the District title is a dream come true for the girls,” said Penns Valley coach Lynda Federinko. “These remarkable accomplishments have come as a result of extreme dedication and hard work by our athletes. It will be interesting to see what they will do next week in Hershey.”
