Penns Valley give their head coach his first victory
History was made Monday night as the Penns Valley Rams boys basketball team gave their new coach Robert Irwin his first win as the Rams head coach.
Facing off against Bellwood-Antis, Penns Valley made the road trip worth while, winning 50-33.
Zach Braucht led the way with a game high 23-point effort.
Teammate Kyle Niewinski added 12 while John Aston rounded things out with 10 points.
Penns Valley jumped out to a 13-10 lead after one.
The Rams added another 13 while holding Bellwood to nine points, resulting in a 26-19 advantage at the intermission.
In the third, Penns Valley held off Bellwood 10-9 to keep their steady lead.
Penns Valley clinched things in the fourth outscoring their opponent 14-5 en route to the victory.
