Penns Valley tops Lewistown in LMR tire and Lykens Mkt Bowl

The Penns Valley Rams made it 2-for-2 on the JVFL Super Bowl weekend as its Pee Wee and Midgets were both successful in its respective bowl games.
In the Pee Wee division, the young Rams went head-to-head with Lewistown in the LMR Tires/Lykens Market Bowl.
The Rams dominated from beginning to end as the Rams finished as 32-7 victors.
After holding the Panthers to a 4-and-out, Penns Valley got the ball to its offense and it took just five plays for Penns Valley to respond with a touchdown.
On 3rd and 13, Koltin Shawver rambled for a 63-yard touchdown run, with the successful PAT, the Rams were up 7-0.
Penns Valley got the first turnover of the game on the next play, when the Rams recovered an onside kick and got the ball.
Shawver, who rushed for almost 200 yards in the game, scored his second TD minutes later, upping the lead to 14-0.
From there, the Rams defense held strong and took the 14-0 lead into the intermission.
Penns Valley scored quickly as they took the opening kickoff of the second half for paydirt.
Again Shawver got the touchdown, scoring on a 73-yard march down the field.
After falling behind late, the Panthers refused to be shut out and played with pride, scoring in the last minute on a 55-yard run by Gavin Herrington, ending the scoring at 32-7.
