Port Royal Speedway Set to Host 19th Annual Living Legends Dream Race This Saturday

Port Royal, PA – Port Royal Speedway will once again shine the spotlight on its rich history this Saturday, August 16, with the 19th Annual Living Legends Dream Race presented by Mike Cleck Paving & Sealcoating. A staple of the summer racing calendar, the event will award $20,000 to the winner in 410 sprint car competition, drawing the region’s top drivers in pursuit of one of Central Pennsylvania’s most prestigious paydays.

The Weikert’s Livestock 410 sprint cars will compete in time trial format for the night for an A-main purse that goes over $55,000. The first 5 cars to not transfer out of the B-main will also receive additional money with $500 going to the first car to not make the main event. The four cars that follow will receive $450, $400, $350, and then $300 in respective order.

The Penske Racing Shocks super late models will also make their return to The Speed Palace as they prepare for a big weekend on August 22nd and 23rd against the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series.

This year, the Speedway is proud to honor Mark Smith and Barry Camp as the 2025 “Living Legends” honorees. Both men have left an enduring mark on Pennsylvania’s sprint car scene—Smith with his versatility and success across winged and non-winged disciplines, and Camp with decades of racing excellence and dedication to the sport. Fans will have the opportunity to celebrate their careers during the evening’s festivities.

Beyond the racing, Port Royal is offering a full night of fan-focused entertainment and giveaways. Inside the Port Royal Speedway Ministries Fan Zone, fans can enter to win a Frigidaire Mini Fridge and sign up for the monthly Vizio Smart TV drawing. Kids 17 and under are encouraged to join the Junior Fan of the Night program for a chance to wave the green flag, ride in the pace truck, and enjoy other VIP perks. Throughout the night, 100 free shirts will be tossed into the crowd courtesy of Baker’s Archery of Halifax and Kish Bank.

General Admission: $30

Student (ages 13-17): $20

Ages 12 and under: Free

Pits: $40

Event Times:

Pits Open: 4:00 PM

Gates Open: 5:00 PM

Hot Laps: 6:00 PM

Racing Starts: 7:00 PM

With a massive purse, legendary honorees, top-tier competition, and countless fan giveaways, the 19th Annual Living Legends Dream Race promises to be one of the most memorable nights of the 2025 season at The Speed Palace.
