BELLEFONTE – It was a clash between defending Co-Mountain League teams as Bellefonte and Penns Valley locked horns Friday night at Bellefonte’s Rogers Stadium.

In the end, the Rams were victorious, winning

Penns Valley wasted little time as it posted two first quarter touchdowns.

On their first touch of the game, the Rams opened on a 3-play scoring drive as Aiden Brinker tossed a 45-yard TD pass to Stephan Ripka. With Stephan Ripka kick, the Rams led 7-0 with 8:46 left in the opening stanza.

After holding Bellefonte on its second possession, Penns Valley provided a substantial 12-play driving that concluded on a Seth Baney  drive up the middle for the 2-Yard TD run  and later another Ripka kick, upping the lead to 14-0 with 0:48 left in the first.

Both teams took charge of the second quarter as they bent but didn’t break. Both also came up with clutch interceptions, ending potential scoring drives.
