Red Raiders showcase talents at PIAA Invitational

The Bellefonte XC boys and girls ran in the PIAA Foundation Invite today in Hershey. The boys finished 15th/30 teams. Jonathan Gasper ran the 5k course in 17:01 finishing 8th overall and secured a medal. Maverick Muchmore followed in 17:53 for 29th place. Rounding out the top seven were Carson Fritchman in 19:24, Gunther Kull in 20:31, Ethan Karmelita in 21:50, Kaiden Musser in 22:15 and Phoenix Torres in 25:47. There were 240 finishers.

  On the girls side, Addy Fry traversed the course in 21:26 finishing 24th overall. Natalie Jolley followed close behind in 21:36 for 31st overall. Rounding out the top seven were Aalyn Cernuska in 27:07, Emily Moretz in 27:16, Haddie Lutz in 27:25, Megan Showers 30;13 and Molly Showers in 30:26. The girls team finished 20th/28 teams. There were 199 finishers in the girls AA race.
The MS team headed to Oak Hall Regional Park in Boalsburg for the Centre Region Youth XC meet #1. In the boys race, Alex Giornesto finished the 4K course in second place in 16:43. Jackson Wells followed in 8th in 19:51 and Austin Brumbaugh finished in 10th in 21:35. On the girls side, Alissa Kyte-Yech  finished 4th in 17:27. Rounding out Bellefonte’s six were Emma Crater in 20:08, Ava Burns in 20:34, Zoe Musser in 20:52, Sydeny Smith in 22:00 and Olivia Menna in 22:43.
