Reed: This week’s Dom’s Predictions MC versus Central Mountain Preview/Prediction

The Mifflin County Huskies travel to Central Mountain in a Wildcat versus Husky showdown at Don Malinak Stadium this Friday.

Mifflin County had the advantage defeating the Wildcats 41-6 in front of the home crowd with home field advantage last season. The Huskies will now be tasked with starting the season on the road. In fact, Mifflin County will start the season with two straight road games against Central Mountain and Northern York before the Purple and White see their home when the Huskies hosts Mechanicsburg on September 6.

The offseason has passed us and the regular season has come upon us. Mifflin County lost a good portion of their team last year that had tons of experience. The Huskies lost greats like Deakon Schaeffer,Parker Kearns,Landon Eichhorn,Trevor Miles,Jacob Kratzer,Isaac Parks Gill and Michael Mcnitt.

This must be a next man up mentality for MIfflin County and for every other team that lost players and kinda in a rebuilding situation. Mifflin County still has some returning players that can light up the stat sheet.

Central Mountain will be tasked with trying to get revenge and try to defend their home turf. The Wildcats could only put up six points against Mifflin County coming out on the losing end last season. Central Mountain lost eight games last season only winning three games. The Wildcats defeated Bloomsburg,Shikellamy and Midd West the Wildcats shut the Mustangs out 42-0. Central Mountain has something to work for to have a better season.

Mifflin County has talent, Coach Shane Breon knows how to put together a winning team. Breon is 11-11 as the Huskies head coach. Mifflin County has just enough talent on both sides of the ball. Central Mountain hangs with Mifflin County but the Huskies will get the win 21-14.

Next Up, the Mifflin County Huskies travel to take on Northern York.The Central Mountain Wildcats will travel to Bloomsburg. Both Mifflin County and Central Mountain’s next games will be on Friday August 30.
