Rush lands hat trick versus the Wolfpack

It was another successful outing for the Juniata Indians boys soccer team as they bested St. Joe’s Thursday 4-0.

Bryce Rush led the scoring posting a hat trick.

“The team played a good game this evening,” said Juniata coach Jared Byler. “It was a great defensive effort by everyone to disrupt what St. Joe’s wanted to do and keep the ball pinned in the St. Joe’s defensive half.”

In the first half, the Indians were able to score a lone goal by Bryce Rush off of an assist by Will Saner.

But the pace picked offensively for Juniata as it posted three goals to take home the victory.

Rush started off things with his second score thanks to an assist by Jelvin Cardenas.

Juniata’s Brant Walters notched his first goal of the afternoon on an assist by Rush.

Rush notched his hat trick on the last Juniata goal. He was assisted by Brant Walters, making it a 4-0 contest.

In the shots on goal department, Juniata held a 27-1 advantage and also led in corner opportunities by a 7-0 margin.
