St. Joseph falls to Williamsburg
Saint Joseph’s was unable to recover from a slow start at Williamsburg High School on Tuesday night. The Pirates led 17-5 after one quarter. The Wolfpack found themselves in early foul trouble and the halftime lead extended to 31-15. In the third quarter, the Wolfpack utilized some full court pressure to force a number of Williamsburg turnovers. The Wolfpack won the period 20-16. The score got as close as 16 in the second, but the deficit was too much for the young Wolfpack to overcome. The final score Williamsburg 74, SJ 51.
Brendan Scanlon led the Wolfpack for the 17th time this season with 36 points. Noah Straub chipped in seven and Nick Warner added six.
The Wolfpack drop to 2-15 and are next in action on Friday at Jersey Shore.
