St. Joseph’s Academy starts Monday off with a victory over Mount Union

Monday, Saint Joesph’s boys soccer team met up with Mount Union.

St. Joseph’s came out the victors 5-1 over the Trojans.

St. Joseph scored three in the first half and two in the second.

The lone Mount Union goal came in the second half from Hunter Flagel with Mason Dimoff getting the assist. Hunter saved 11 of the 14 shots on goal during the first half as goalie.

Teammate Ryan Dountas saved 10 of the 12 shots on goal the second half.

The Trojans were only able to complete 1 of 13 shots on goal.

“I’m still seeing glimpses of playing as the team I know they are but I’m still not able to have my full team,” said Mount Union coach Jacob Scott. “We currently only have 12 of the 19 players able to take the field. I had one player come back from quaratineed and lost two more tonight. Ryan Dountas is slowly coming back from an injury and I was able to try him out in the second half as goalie.”
