State College 10U All-Stars Hold Off Bellefonte For Victory

Despite seeing their 5-run lead whittled down by the end, the State College 10U All-Stars still held off for a 6-5 victory on Monday. Bellefonte  closed the gap by scoring on a double, a single, and a single.

State College got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Will C singled, scoring one run, Benjamin K tripled, scoring two runs, and Fin B singled, scoring one run.

A steal of home by Berkley I extended the Little Lions lead to 5-0 in the bottom of the second inning.

Bellefonte tied the game up in the top of the sixth thanks to two singles. The Red Raiders tied the game at six on a single by Owen F.

Liam W earned the win for State College. The starting pitcher allowed two hits and zero runs over four innings, striking out seven and walking none. Oliver L opened the game for Bellefonte. The righty allowed three hits and four runs over one inning, striking out two and walking two. Berkley and Braden S each appeared in relief for State College.

Benjamin drove the middle of the lineup, leading State College with two runs batted in. The third baseman went 1-for-3 on the day. Berkley, Charlie R, Braden, Fin, Will, and Benjamin each collected one hit for State College LL . Braden led State  with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, accumulating seven walks for the game. Berkley, Braden, and Fin each stole multiple bases for State College. The Little Lions  stole 11 bases in the game.

Bellefonte collected 10 hits in the game. Jackson V, Oliver, Ruger K, and Owen each collected two hits for Bellefonte 10u. Owen went 2-for-3 at the plate as they led the team with four runs batted in.
