State College 12U All-Stars Defeats Bellefonte

Keegan R collected three hits in four at bats, as State College 12U All-Stars defeated Bellefonte  25-1 on Wednesday. Keegan hit a home run to left field in the fourth inning, singled in the second inning, and singled in the fourth inning.

State College  scored 16 runs in the fourth inning on the way to victory. Wyatt C doubled, scoring one run, Keegan homered to left field, scoring two runs, Jackson L drew a walk, scoring one run, Cole K drew a walk, scoring one run, Joshua Y drew a walk, scoring one run, Joseph T doubled, scoring two runs, an error scored one run, Wyatt drew a walk, scoring one run, Vincent H drew a walk, scoring one run, an error scored two runs, Anthony H singled, scoring one run, Owen W induced Andrew M to hit into a fielder’s choice, but one run scored, and Jackson singled, scoring one run.

State College  opened the scoring in the top of the first thanks to three singles. The All-Stars first got on the board when Vincent singled, scoring one run.

Five more State College runs crossed the plate in the second inning to extend the lead to 9-0. Joshua homered to left field, scoring two runs, Wyatt doubled, scoring one run, Keegan singled, scoring one run, and Vincent singled, scoring one run.

Joseph started on the bump for State. The right-handed pitcher gave up one hit and zero runs over three innings, striking out three and walking none. Brayden R stepped on the bump first for Bellefonte . The righty surrendered six hits and six runs (five earned) over one and one-third innings, striking out one and walking one. Jackson appeared in relief for State.

State College tallied 18 hits in the game. Joseph and Keegan each collected three hits . Anthony, Vincent, Keegan, and Joshua each drove in three runs for State College. Wyatt, Drew G, and Jackson each collected multiple hits for State . Charlie Z paced State College with two walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, amassing eight walks for the game.

Coley P led Bellefonte with one run batted in. Grayson G went 1-for-1 at the plate to lead the Red Raiders in hits.
