State College 12U Softball All-Star Team Impressive In Win PO Mounties 12u, takes championship

State College 12U All-Star Team won big over the Mounties 10-3 on Monday.

State College got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Ellie H singled, and Philipsburg-Osceola committed an error, each scoring one run.

A single by Gabby H, a ground out by Emma G, and an error helped State College extend their early lead in the second.

The Little Lions added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning after Abby S singled, and Ryleigh L tripled, each scoring one run.

Calysta S started in the circle for State College. The starting pitcher gave up two hits and three runs (one earned) over six innings, striking out six and walking eight. Riley B led things off in the circle for the Mounties. The righty gave up six hits and six runs (four earned) over two innings, striking out four and walking none.

State College piled up 10 hits in the game. The Little Lions’ Ryleigh made the most of their chances at the plate. The number seven hitter led the team with two hits in two at bats. Gabby went 1-for-2 at the plate as the infielder led the team with two runs batted in. State College turned one double play in the game.

Riley and Taylor K each collected one hit for Mounties 12u Allstars. Riley and Avalyn B each drove in one run for Philipsburg-Osceola. Ava C led the Mounties 12u with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, accumulating eight walks for the game.
