State College 12U Softball All-Star Team Trounce Clearfield County All Stars 12U

State College 12U Softball All-Star Team won big over Clearfield County All Stars 12U 11-2 on Monday.

State College got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Ellie H tripled, Rachel G singled, and Calysta S singled, each scoring one run.

State College added to their early lead in the bottom of the second inning after they scored on a passed ball, and Brooklyn R grounded out, each scoring one run.

State College added three runs in the third after Calysta singled on a 3-0 count.

Calysta started in the circle for State College. The left-handed pitcher allowed three hits and two runs (zero earned) over four innings, striking out seven and walking four. Megan E led things off in the circle for Clearfield. The righty surrendered 10 hits and 11 runs (zero earned) over four innings, striking out five and walking four.

State College accumulated 10 hits in the game. Calysta, the number seven hitter for the Little Lions, led the way with three runs batted in. The left-handed hitter went 2-for-2 on the day. Cora H, Calysta, and Rachel each collected two hits for State College.

Aubree C, Peyton L, and Aaliyah A each collected one hit for Clearfield.
